The RUTHMANN <\/strong>STEIGER\u00ae T 650 HF<\/strong>, which is being used by the work platform rental company AIRNACE in Switzerland, is unique to date. A work platform is attached to the outside of its workman basket. This special 65 m truck-mounted work platform is therefore ideal for working on roof surfaces or installing PV systems at heights of up to 65 m. With the attached external platform, which can be loaded with 200 kg, the total basket load is still up to 460 kg. Without the external platform, the maximum basket load is 590 kg, as with the standard work basket. In combination with the RUTHMANN<\/strong> HighFlex technology, the special workman basket opens up many new fields of application that were previously unattainable in this form. <\/p>\n\n

The specially prepared T 650 HF<\/strong> with the 58 cm wide, fold-out platform outside the workman basket is EU type-approved. The workman basket can still be used as normal and can be telescoped out to a width of 3.82 m. The outer platform has plastic protective elements at the edges, allowing the workman basket to be driven very close to the object. The workman is secured to the workman basket by means of PPE and has completely free access to the object without any struts on the workman basket blocking his view or hindering his work. In the meantime, the STEIGER\u00ae operator can pass material from the workman basket or support the tradesman in other ways on the external work surface. Depending on the reach, operators have an additional 300 kg capacity for assembly materials in the workman basket <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

With the external platform, the EU type-tested RUTHMANN STEIGER\u00ae T 650 HF reaches a working height of 65 m and can be used, for example, for roof repairs or the installation of photovoltaic systems at great heights.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

Without the external platform and with the full maximum basket load of 590 kg, the STEIGER\u00ae T 650 HF<\/strong> achieves a lateral outreach of 36 m, and up to 43 m with a lower basket load. This makes repair work on church towers or larger buildings possible without any problems.<\/p>\n\n

The work surface in front of the workman basket allows the PPE-protected worker to work directly on the object without the struts of the workman basket getting in the way. Plastic elements on the lower edge protect the object from damage. <\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

A reach of up to 43 m is possible with the RUTHMANN STEIGER\u00ae T 650 HF. This puts the machine in the shade of comparable solutions with an external platform based on a telescopic forklift. <\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

But it’s not just the working height and reach that put the telescopic forklift in the shade. The RUTHMANN <\/strong>HighFlex technology also makes it possible to work across a building, e.g. on rear roof surfaces that are not accessible from the rear of the building. <\/p>\n\n

AIRNACE is enthusiastic about the new possibilities that the basket offers in practice and appreciates the potential of the telescopic work platform.<\/p>\n\n
