The Basel-based energy supplier IWB was the first Swiss customer to opt for a RUTHMANNSTEIGER® AMPERO TBR 260 E on an all-electric IVECO Daily 70C14E.
IWB is thus taking a further step towards sustainable work solutions. This innovative vehicle sets new standards in terms of low-noise and emission-free working.
The RUTHMANN Ampero TBR 260 E access platform is characterized by a unique drive system. It is now available on the standard chassis of the new IVECO Daily 70C14E. This all-electric access platform reaches an impressive 26 meters working height and a maximum outreach of 17 meters. Up to 150 kilometers of travel and an additional 4 hours of pure aerial work platform work are possible on one battery charge. This is normally enough for a whole working day.
The key to this unique concept lies in the intelligent use of the IVECO eDaily’s 74 kWh battery, which is used both for the traction drive and for operating the aerial work platform.
The battery is connected to the charging station via the charging port in the radiator grille of the IVECO eDaily. The charging time is one hour via DC at 80 kW or four hours via AC at 22 kW.
This work platform not only enables emission-free working, but also virtually silent working, which opens up new application possibilities in sensitive environments. The Ampero TBR 260 E is perfect for working at night, near hospitals, retirement homes, in residential areas and in enclosed indoor areas such as exhibition halls or shopping centers.
Despite the total weight of over 3.5 t, the vehicle can be driven with a car driver’s license, as the maximum speed is limited to 45 km/h.
