Nestled in the heart of the Bavarian Alps, not far from Berchtesgaden National Park and with a direct view of the Watzmann, a RUTHMANNSTEIGER® T 570 HF Hybrid from the rental company roggermaier . In this sensitive and particularly challenging landscape, work was carried out on a radio tower.
The unique location placed high demands on technology, logistics, and environmental sustainability. Thanks to the hybrid drive system, the operation was able to be carried out with zero local emissions —a significant advantage when working in sensitive natural areas. At the same time, the work platform impressed with its long reach and high load capacity, which enabled safe and efficient operations.
Hybrid technology for high-performance and sustainable operations
The STEIGER® T 570 HF Hybrid represents the next evolution in modern truck-mounted aerial work platforms. The combination of battery-electric operation and proven HF technology enables flexible work—both emission-free and at full power—whenever operating conditions require it.
With a working height of 57 meters, a lateral reach of 41 meters, and a basket load capacity of up to 600 kilograms, the T 570 HF Hybrid is designed for demanding installation, maintenance, and repair work. This makes the machine particularly suitable for use in urban areas, industrial facilities, and in environmentally and noise-sensitive areas.
The T 570 HF Hybrid is part of a new hybrid series from RUTHMANN that includes several models, ranging from the T 510 HF to the T 750 HF, and offers users a high degree of operational flexibility.
“Our hybrid aerial work platforms open up new applications, especially in situations where zero-emission operation is required without compromising on performance,” explains Christian Roß, Head of International Sales at RUTHMANN.

First production unit in use at roggermaier
A significant milestone for the market: The first production model of the STEIGER® T 570 HF Hybrid was delivered to roggermaier, a company based in Aschheim near Munich. As an experienced provider of aerial access equipment, roggermaier has long been committed to innovative drive systems and sustainable solutions.
From the user’s perspective, the new hybrid concept also delivers impressive results in practical use:
“Especially when working in sensitive regions like the Alps, emission-free operation is a decisive factor. The T 570 HF Hybrid offers us the necessary performance, combined with high flexibility and a sustainable drive concept,” says Horst Bröcker, Product Manager ppa. at roggermaier.
Its successful deployment in the Bavarian Alps is a striking example of how high performance, flexible application, and environmental sustainability can be combined in practice.
