A symbolic event at a dizzying height: Together with our client Begemann’s Mietlift, the RUTHMANNSTEIGER® T 570 HF was put to work to drape the Hermann Monument in Detmold with an oversized DSC Arminia Bielefeld jersey. The spectacular event was initiated by the Bielefeld-based company Schüco —as a tribute to the team’s advancement to the cup final and its 50-year partnership with DSC Arminia.
Working at such lofty heights required precise planning and maximum performance. With a working height of 57 meters, a reach of up to 41 meters, and a load capacity of 600 kilograms , the RUTHMANNSTEIGER® T 570 HF provided the ideal conditions for safely and efficiently attaching the 9-meter-high and 7.2-meter-wide banner to Germany’s tallest monument. The banner was made from approximately 130 square meters of flag fabric and was professionally installed using the RUTHMANN Highflex aerial work platform.
It is precisely at a monument like the Hermann, where great heights are combined with winding access routes, that the T 570 HF really shows its strengths: The vertical work basket enables “under and up” operations, while the RÜSSEL® (basket arm), which can be used in the lowered position, offers a wide range of options for “up and over and back.” This made it possible to safely reach every part of the statue—without compromising on efficiency or safety.

“We are delighted that our STEIGER® T 570 HF was able to contribute to this special event,” said Christian Roß, Head of International Sales at Ruthmann Holdings GmbH. “As a technology partner, we are proud when our equipment not only performs industrial tasks but also becomes part of such symbolic moments.”
The Hermann Monument wore the Arminia jersey until May 26—high above the Teutoburg Forest and visible from afar. An initiative that combines sports enthusiasm, regional identity, and cutting-edge technology.
